Accordingly, the stadium of the Dong Nai City Military Command in Tan Trieu Ward has been selected as the venue for the opening ceremony. The stadium has a spacious, level field and a track suitable for parades, mass performances, and sports demonstrations. It also has stands to accommodate delegates, spectators, and supporters. As the stadium is under military management, the venue also offers favorable conditions for ensuring security and safety during the opening ceremony.

At the inspection, representatives of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the standing agency of the Steering Board for the first Dong Nai City Sports Festival, reported on preparations for the opening ceremony. The department has sent official documents to relevant departments, agencies, and units to coordinate preparations. Key tasks include providing facilities and personnel for the torch-lighting ceremony; mobilizing students to participate in mass performances; arranging groups to carry a portrait of President Ho Chi Minh and national flags, as well as arranging spectators; and producing video clips to be screened before and during the ceremony.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has also assigned specific responsibilities and deadlines to its divisions and affiliated units. It has coordinated with the general director and event organizer to decorate the venue, install the stage and other facilities for the ceremony, procure equipment and supplies, and organize rehearsals for ceremonial groups and artistic performances in accordance with the plan.

According to the schedule, the first full rehearsal will take place on August 25, followed by a second full rehearsal on August 26. On August 27, the Organizing Committee will conduct a comprehensive inspection of all preparations. The opening ceremony of the first Dong Nai City Sports Festival is expected to take place on August 28.

Speaking at the inspection, Vice Chairman Le Truong Son stressed that the opening ceremony must be formal, distinctive, and memorable, creating a strong impression and generating broad public interest. As the ceremony will take place during the rainy season, relevant agencies and units must proactively prepare personnel, facilities, and logistical plans to ensure safety and effectiveness. In particular, large-scale structures and facilities must be built to a high standard and be able to withstand heavy rain and strong winds.

Vice Chairman Le Truong Son also emphasized that the electrical system must be designed and operated safely and efficiently. Backup generators should also be prepared to ensure a proactive response to possible power outages. Given the large number of delegates and participants, agencies and units were asked to coordinate closely with the Dong Nai City Military Command to agree on traffic-flow plans, guide vehicles, and deploy sufficient personnel to maintain public order and security. Medical rooms and on-duty medical personnel must also be arranged to respond promptly to any situations that may arise. Meanwhile, raincoats should be made available to delegates in the event of adverse weather.

The 2026 Dong Nai City Sports Festival features competitions in 24 sports. To date, preparations for professional activities, facilities, and competition equipment have basically been completed and meet the required standards.
