Dong Nai ranks third overall in 10-15 age group at 2026 National Youth Judo Championships

Following several days of exciting competition at the Thanh Hoa provincial sports gymnasium, the 2026 National Youth Judo Championship concluded with an impressive performance by Dong Nai's young judokas.

The Dong Nai youth judo team won seven gold medals, six silver medals, and 13 bronze medals. The team also secured third place overall in the 10–15 age category with a tally of seven golds, six silvers, and nine bronzes.

The 2026 National Youth Judo Championship was organized by the Vietnam Judo Federation in coordination with the Thanh Hoa Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, attracting nearly 800 athletes from 19 delegations representing provinces, cities, and sectors across the country, competing for 80 sets of medals in two disciplines of combat and performance for two age groups: 10-15 and 16-19.

In the 10-15 age group, Dong Nai athletes delivered an impressive performance, securing 7 gold, 6 silver, and 9 bronze medals and capturing third place in the overall delegation rankings. Specifically, the 7 gold medals belonged to the following martial artists: Nguyen Dinh Quynh An (women's -48kg weight class, 10-11 age group), Nguyen Truong Gia Huy (men's -50kg, 10-11 age group), Nguyen Hoang Phuc Thinh (men's +50kg, 10-11 age group), Le Nguyen Phuong Uyen (women's -36kg, 12-13 age group), Ho Thi Truc Ly (women's -52kg, 12-13 age group), Tho Son (men's -50kg, 12-13 age group), and Dao Minh Thuan (men's -81kg, 14-15 age group).

Additionally, in the 16-19 age group, Dong Nai fighters put on an excellent performance, claiming 4 more bronze medals.
