According to the plan, the event will take place over two days (April 16 and 17) at the premises of Dong Nai Provincial Library (Tan Trieu ward), with the participation of Dong Nai Publishing House, Dong Nai Literature and Arts Association, and libraries of communes and wards across the province. Activities include art performances, presentation of commemorative flags to participating units, and the launch of the 2026 Dong Nai Reading Culture Ambassador Contest.
With the theme “Books and Digital Transformation - Spreading Knowledge in the New Era,” this year’s event focuses on introducing and displaying various types of books in the fields of politics, history, economics, literature, children’s books, and science and technology. At the same time, it promotes digital materials, audiobooks, and e-books, while organizing author-work exchanges and panel discussions on books.

In addition, many reader-serving activities will be implemented, such as discounted book stalls, old-book exchange programs, quizzes for prizes, and free library card issuance, contributing to creating a vibrant atmosphere and attracting large public participation.
Notably, mobile library services and book circulation activities will be organized from April 1 to May 2 to serve students at primary and secondary schools in remote, mountainous, and ethnic minority areas in the province, expected to hold 10 to 20 sessions.

Furthermore, Dong Nai Provincial Library will coordinate with relevant units to display books at armed forces units, develop online reading clubs among young people, and strengthen communication about the significance of reading culture on digital platforms.
The organization of activities to mark the 5th Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day 2026 in Dong Nai aims to affirm the role of books in social life and honor those engaged in book-related work. It also promotes the reading movement in the community, towards building a learning society, improving public knowledge, and fostering human character and intellect.
