On the morning of December 24, Dong Nai Newspaper and Radio–Television Station held a press conference ahead of the 31st National Cross-Country Mountain-Climbing Tournament “Conquering the Peak of Ba Ra” in 2026.
Attending the press conference were Provincial Party Committee member and Editor-in-Chief of Dong Nai Newspaper and Radio–Television Station Nguyen Thi Minh Nham, Head of the Organizing Committee; Nong Hong Thuc, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; leaders of Phuoc Long Ward; representatives of VietRace365 Joint Stock Company; sponsors; and a large number of journalists from news agencies nationwide.

The National Cross-Country Mountain-Climbing Tournament “Conquering the Peak of Ba Ra” in 2026 is a traditional annual event maintained by Dong Nai Province. The 31st edition in 2026 carries special significance, marking the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 – 2026) and the 51st anniversary of the liberation of Phuoc Long (January 6, 1975 – 2026).

The 31st National Cross-Country Mountain-Climbing Tournament “Conquering the Peak of Ba Ra” in 2026 is organized by Dong Nai Newspaper and Radio–Television Station and will officially take place on January 4, 2026, in Phuoc Long Ward, Dong Nai Province. The event attracts many of the country’s top track-and-field athletes, such as “Vietnam’s Marathon King” Hoang Nguyen Thanh; Hoang Thi Ngoc Hoa of Dong Nai; Trinh Quoc Luong of the Military team; and Pham Thi Hong Le of Gia Lai, among others.

At the press conference, journalists raised numerous questions to the Organizing Committee regarding the scale of the event, promotional activities, prize structure, and security arrangements. All questions were fully addressed and clarified by representatives of the Organizing Committee.

According to Nguyen Thi Minh Nham, Provincial Party Committee member and Editor-in-Chief of Dong Nai Newspaper and Radio–Television Station and Head of the Organizing Committee, in addition to providing a high-quality sporting arena, the race also serves as an opportunity to introduce and promote local tourism routes and tours, specialty products, and to publicize the image, potential, and strengths of Phuoc Long and Dong Nai to friends nationwide. At the same time, through this meaningful sporting event, the organizers aim to raise public awareness of physical training, improve the health and physique of the Vietnamese people, and continue to promote the movement “All People Exercise Following the Example of Great Uncle Ho”.
As of now, the Organizing Committee has completed preparations for both technical aspects and logistics. The 31st National Cross-Country Mountain-Climbing Tournament “Conquering the Peak of Ba Ra” in 2026 is expected to attract around 2,000 registered athletes across competition categories.
