According to the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism's report, although 2025 has witnessed complex global and domestic developments, the culture, sports, and tourism sector has made strong efforts to overcome challenges and achieved notable results. These outcomes contribute positively to economic growth, strengthening society's spiritual foundations, and enhancing the national culture’s soft power.
In the cultural sphere, efforts to build and strengthen the institutional framework have been intensified. A notable highlight is the sector’s advisory role in finalizing the report dossier to the Standing Committee of the Government Party Committee for submission to the Politburo, resulting in the issuance of a Resolution on the development of Vietnamese culture. This provides a basis for removing “bottlenecks”, expanding development space, and making culture and human resources a regulating force for sustainable development.
Commemorative activities for the nation’s major holidays have been organized on a large scale and with due solemnity, generating wide-reaching impact, fostering national pride, and reinforcing public confidence. The fields of literature, the arts, and cinema continue to flourish, with numerous works of high ideological and artistic value, including several films achieving strong box-office performance, thereby contributing to the growth of the cultural industry.
Efforts to preserve, restore, and rehabilitate historical and cultural relics have been carried out in a coordinated and timely manner, safeguarding and promoting the nation’s historical and cultural heritage. In 2025, the tourism sector has recorded a robust recovery and impressive growth. International arrivals to Vietnam have been estimated at 21.5 million, while domestic tourist trips have reached approximately 135 million. Total tourism revenue has been estimated at around one quadrillion VND. Tourism continues to be a bright spot in the socio-economic landscape, contributing a stable 6-8% of GDP annually during the 2021–2025 period.

In his keynote address, Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh acknowledged and commended the efforts and achievements of the culture, sports, and tourism sector in 2025. He called on the sector to continue renewing its management mindset, take more decisive action, and ensure that set objectives yield substantive results. In the near future, he stressed the need to make culture deeply integrated into social life, strengthen communication to spread positive values, advance sports development step by step, and achieve breakthroughs in tourism development.
