Dong Nai presents Literature and Arts Awards 2025

On the morning of December 27, the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee held a ceremony to present the annual Dong Nai Literature and Arts Awards for 2025.

The ceremony was attended by Le Truong Son, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; Le Thi Thai, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilization; former Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Son Hung; along with representatives of provincial departments and agencies, and a large number of artists and students across the province.

The Dong Nai Literature and Arts Awards 2025 were reviewed and presented to authors with outstanding works in eight art categories: prose, poetry, theatre and cinema, music, photography, fine arts, dance, and theory and criticism. The organizers received 203 entries from 103 authors participating in the awards.

The judging panel selected 49 outstanding works for awards, including seven A prizes, 12 B prizes, 17 C prizes, and 13 consolation prizes. Each award recognized sustained and dedicated artistic effort, serving as encouragement for Dong Nai artists to continue their commitment, exploration, and creativity.

In his keynote address at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Truong Son commended the authors whose works had won awards and emphasized that Dong Nai is entering a new phase of development marked by historic transformations. He noted that the reorganization of administrative units is not merely a matter of redrawing boundaries, but also creates new space for growth and creativity, enriched with material drawn from social life.

In particular, the documents of the First Provincial Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term and breakthrough resolutions have affirmed that culture must develop in step with the economy. In this context, the community of artists and writers plays a vital role in translating political commitments into compelling artistic expressions that inspire the aspiration for hometown development in the hearts of the people.

“Starting from the 2026 season, the Provincial People’s Committee will assign the Dong Nai Literature and Arts Association to host the awards, with confidence that the association will further strengthen the awards’ brand,” Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Le Truong Son said.

During the awards program, Le Thi Thai, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilization, officially launched the Dong Nai Literature and Arts Awards for 2026. The organizing committee expressed its hope that entries for the 2026 awards will be firmly rooted in real life, delve deeply into practice, and offer truthful and emotionally rich portrayals of the land and people of Dong Nai today and in the future.

The organizers encouraged works that reflect the historic milestones of Long Thanh International Airport, as well as works dedicated to youth and children, workers in border areas, and ethnic minority communities. They also called for works portraying soldiers safeguarding national sovereignty over seas and borders, as well as those who work day and night to preserve peace for the country and for present and future generations.

On this occasion, the Dong Nai Literature and Arts Association organized an exhibition featuring award-winning artistic photographs and fine art works, along with performances of poetry, dance, and music pieces that received first prizes at the Dong Nai Literature and Arts Awards 2025.
