Dong Nai Jujitsu athletes win 19 golds at Southeast Asian Championship

(ĐN)- Dong Nai Jujitsu athletes, under the Vietnamese national team, performed excellently, winning 19 gold medals at the 2025 Southeast Asian Youth and Senior Championships.

On July 13 (local time), the 2025 Southeast Asian Youth and Senior Jujitsu Championships concluded in the Philippines.

 

The 2025 Southeast Asian Youth and Senior Jujitsu Championships took place from July 12 to 13, attracting athletes from 8 countries in the region registered to compete, including: Philippines (the hosts), Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, Cambodia, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Laos.

At the end of the tournament, the Vietnamese jujitsu team overwhelmed their rivals, winning an impressive 84 gold medals, 70 silver medals, and 74 bronze medals to rank 1st in the overall standings. Among these, Dong Nai Jujitsu athletes contributed to the overall achievement of the Vietnamese team with 19 golds, 8 silvers, and 19 bronzes. Athletes from the provincial Sports Talent High School alone contributed 8 golds, 2 silvers, and 6 bronzes.

Meanwhile, host Philippines achieved 34 golds, 35 silvers, and 39 bronzes, ranking second. With many young faces participating, the Thai jujitsu team won 17 golds, 8 silvers, and 8 bronzes to rank third. 

To encourage and congratulate the achievements of Dong Nai Jujitsu athletes at the 2025 Southeast Asian Jujitsu Championships, the Dong Nai Provincial Sports Training and Competition Center sent a delegation to welcome and congratulate the athlete delegation at Tan Son Nhat Airport.
