(ĐN)- The 8th Long Thanh district Sports Festival wrapped up recently at the district’s stadium.
Taking place from March to October, the festival attracted more than 2,000 athletes from 15 teams in the district, competing 16 games including football, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, tennis, tug or war, stick pushing, swimming, Chinese chess, Tai Chi exercise, taekwondo, vovinam, karate, traditional martial arts marathon and track and field.
At the end of the festival, the organizers awarded the overall first prize to Long Duc commune with 21 gold medals. The second prize went to Bao Can commune while Long Thanh township ranked third.
