The exhibition will gather valuable paintings that have been grafted from ceramic pieces from Dong Nai province, as well as a number of photos of ceramic paintings, featuring the portraits of 21 leaders from the APEC member economies in 2017.

In addition, the exhibition will introduce the portraits of President Ho Chi Minh, General Vo Nguyen Giap, Vietnamese Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan.

The exhibits are the achievements of an art project that was implemented by the Chien Thang Joint Stock Company and OSSSO Trade and Service limited company (Ho Chi Minh City), in collaboration with a group of painters and artisans from Dong Nai, during 2016-2017.

With colorful ceramic pieces that were baked at high temperatures in Bien Hoa city, Dong Nai province, the talented artisans cut the ceramics into small pieces and then skillfully grafted them, creating beautiful portraits.

The frames were designed respectfully with harmonious colours, contributing to highlighting the beauty and solemnity of the paintings. Once finished, the quality and aesthetics of the paintings were appreciated by the relevant authorities and experts.

On the occasion of the 2017 APEC Economic Leaders’ Week, PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc presented many paintings as gifts for several leaders. The rest will be presented to the other leaders through the embassies of the countries and territories in Vietnam.

After Hanoi, the exhibition will be held in Dong Nai province and Ho Chi Minh City.
