According to Chairman Dieu Bao the provincial Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs, this is the first time the organizing board of the festival has held a beauty pageant for local ethnic minority people.
Accordingly, each of the delegations participating in the contest will select three female contestants aged 18-28 from one of ethnic minority groups in Dong Nai who will compete in performances of traditional costumes, ao dai, evening gowns and question-answer round. The organizers will award 13 prizes to outstanding contestants.
Along with the beauty contest, the festival will also feature food contest, art performances and sporting events. It is scheduled to be held between April 18 and 22 at the provincial Sports Center and the provincial Conference Center.
