Vietnam poetry day opens in Dong Nai

(ĐN)- Poetry lovers across Dong Nai flocked to Tran Bien Temple of Literature in Bien Hoa city on February 22 to join in Vietnam Poetry Day 2016, co-organized by the provincial Party Committee's Commission for Communications and Education and Dong Nai Literature and Arts Association.

(ĐN)- Poetry lovers across Dong Nai flocked to Tran Bien Temple of Literature in Bien Hoa city on February 22 to join in Vietnam Poetry Day 2016, co-organized by the provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Communications and Education and Dong Nai Literature and Arts Association.

The event was also attended by Secretary of Dong Nai provincial Party Committee Nguyen Phu Cuong, Head of Commission for Communications and Education Dang Manh Trung, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Quoc Hung, representatives from departments, agencies and more than 200 members of Dong Nai Writers’ Association.

Since its debut on Nguyen Tieu (the 15th day of the first lunar month) in 2003, the Vietnam Poetry Day, the biggest poetry festival in the country, has become a national tradition, taking place in the spring of each year.

At the event, the provincial People’s Committee and Dong Nai Literature and Arts Association awarded certificates of merit to 4 collective and 19 individuals for their excellent achievements in literature and arts activities.

On this occasion, Vietnam Literature and Arts Association honored 12 members from Dong Nai Literature and Arts Association for their contributions.
