The annual event was co-organized by the Ministry of Education and Training and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
At the end of the contest, Lam Bao Ngoc of Dong Nai delegation won one gold medal for her solo Vietnamese 36 chord zither performing item. In addition, another solo singing item by Bui Minh Doan of Dong Nai was selected as one of the best six items to be performed at the closing ceremony of the contest.
