This is the first time ever Dong Nai has hosted the event.
The festival will see the participation of around 1,000 disabled athletes from 35-37 cities and provinces around the country, competing in 7 event categories including table tennis, badminton, track and field, swimming, weightlifting and boccia.
According to the department, apart from preparation activities for the tornament including upgrading sporting facilities such as swimming pool, gymnasium, and equipment, ect, Dong Nai has also set up team for the competition. Dong Nai will compete across all events and has targeted 10-15 gold medals to rank fifth in the medals tally.
