Accordingly, Thai Ngoc Tuong Minh and Hua Nguyen Gia han of Dong Nai bagged one gold and one silver medals in the U12 girls’ event, which helped Dong Nai bring home another gold medals in the team’s event.
Meanwhile, in the U11 boys’ event, Dong Nai’s chess players also scored one gold and one silver medals in categories for individuals and teams.
The annual tournament brought together 210 athletes of 16 delegations in Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc, Long An, Ninh Thuan, Dong Nai, and Ho Chi Minh City. The players competed in 7 rounds based on the Swiss system for boy and girl competitions in five different age group categories of under 7, 9, 11, 13, and 15.
