According to Director Le Kim Bang of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the ceremony will be live broadcasted on Dong Nai Radio-TV station at 7:30 p.m, attracting the participation of nearly 20,000 participants.
The event will feature a performance entitled “Dong Nai towards a sustainable development” by 1,300 athletes from HCM city's University of Sports and Physical Training along with many local artists and students, and 600 people will stand together to form an S-shaped map of Vietnam
Earlier at 4:30p.m, the festival’s torch will be carried from Tran Bien Temple through main roads of Bien Hoa City to the host stadium. The torch then will be handed over to provincial leaders who will light the sports festival’s flame.
The 7th provincial Sports Festival is the largest sporting event in the province, aiming to promote the movements of playing sports among local people as well as to continue conducting the campaign of following Ho Chi Minh’s good physical training habit and to select the best athletes for the incoming 7th National Sports Festival which will be held in Nam Dinh province.
