Addressing at the event, Vice Chairman Nguyen Thanh Tri of the provincial People’s Committee stressed that the program aims to affirm national sovereignty over the sea and islands while offering a bridge to connect the support of organizations, enterprises and individuals inside and outside the province with fishermen and naval soldiers who are on duty within the country's exclusive economic zone and continental shelf.
On this occasion, the organizers received more than VND8.5 billion of donations raised for “For Vietnam’s sea and island” Fund and honored 33 collectives, including Dong Nai Newspaper, for their contributions to the Fund.
