The district’s leaders briefed the delegation on the successful implementation of the movement “All People Unite to Build Cultural Lifestyle”. Accordingly, the movement has drawn a great deal of attention from local people.
In 2013, Thong Nhat district raised nearly VND6.2 billion to build 48 charity houses and present 9,000 gifts to poor households and policy families; 97.3 percent of all households have received the ‘Cultural Family’ title.
In 2014, the district will strive to raise the ‘Cultural Family’ rate to 98 percent and the ‘Cultural Enterprises’ rate to 99 percent. Moreover, further efforts would be made to stamp out prostitution and drug addiction.
