(ĐN)- Dong Nai Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has recently had a working session with design consultants on Nguyen Huu Canh Temple restoration project.
According to the design, the temple will be expanded from the current 4,000 sq.m to cover an area of approximately 8,000 sq.m.The total investment for the project is estimated at more than VND98 billion.
Nguyen Huu Canh, born in 1650, was a famous army commander and an excellent administrator under the Lord Nguyen Phuc Chu’s court. He is credited for expanding territories to the south and establishing the administrative management for the southern region at the end of the 17th century.
The design would be completed before April 21 and submitted to the provincial Party Committee, People’s Council and People’s Committee for consideration, said Deputy Director Tran Quang Toai of Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
