(ĐN)- Dong Nai’s two athletes are competing in the 2013 National Youth Badminton Championships that began in Thai Binh province on July 21.
The event, which will last until July 27, is organized by the General Department of Sports and Physical Training, the Vietnam Badminton Federation and Thai Binh provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
More than 150 players from 21 domestic teams are divided into two age groups, 16 and 17-18 years old, to compete for medals in girls’ and boys’ singles and doubles, and in mixed doubles events.
The annual tournament aims to seek out new young talented badminton players for the national squad.
