Dong Nai Women’s Startup Day 2026 opens

Dong Nai City Women’s Union (DNWU) on September 9 held the opening ceremony of Dong Nai Women’s Startup Day 2026.

The event was attended by Le Thi Thai, Deputy Head of the City Party Committee (CPC)’s Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilization; Le Thi Thanh Loan, Vice Chairwoman of the Dong Nai VFF Committee and Chairwoman of the DNWU; and representatives of city departments, agencies, associations and mass organizations.

In her opening remarks, Le Thi Thanh Loan stressed that entrepreneurship is not merely about creating jobs, developing products or building brands, but also about enabling women to realize their potential, strengths and creativity, while demonstrating their resilience, innovative thinking and aspirations to move forward in the new era.

Dong Nai City is making strong strides toward its goal of achieving sustainable double-digit economic growth in the 2026-2030 period. As the city pursues this goal, digital transformation and green transition are no longer optional but have become essential requirements for economic actors. Digital transformation enables women to overcome geographical barriers, expand markets, optimize management and promotional activities, and bring local products to a wider customer base. Green transformation, meanwhile, helps enhance brand value, use resources more efficiently and promote environmental responsibility, paving the way for circular production models and sustainable development.

During the 2017-2025 period, under Project 939 on supporting women’s entrepreneurship, Women’s Union organizations at all levels across the city implemented a wide range of practical activities to help thousands of women start businesses and pursue entrepreneurship, while supporting the establishment of cooperatives, cooperative groups and women-owned enterprises. Resources for supporting women’s entrepreneurship have increasingly been mobilized and used effectively. In particular, the annual Women’s Innovative Startup Contest has attracted a large number of women members, featuring a wide range of creative and practical ideas and projects. These efforts demonstrate that when women have aspirations, opportunities and greater empowerment, they can create significant economic value.

During the 2026-2035 period, support for women’s entrepreneurship will face increasingly demanding requirements. The DNWU will focus on helping women gradually strengthen their business and management skills and use capital more effectively, while supporting brand development, product improvement, customer outreach, market expansion, and stronger connections and cooperation in production and business activities. Dong Nai Women’s Startup Day 2026 is one of the practical initiatives aimed at advancing these goals.

To help women in the city achieve greater success in entrepreneurship, the Chairwoman of the DNWU called on Women’s Union organizations at all levels to proactively adopt new approaches, improve the quality of their activities, and provide support and solutions tailored to women’s actual needs in their localities. She also encouraged Women’s Union members and women to remain confident, pursue entrepreneurship with determination and build prosperity through legitimate means, while creating practical value for the community and contributing to the city’s development. The DNWU will continue to support and connect its members, creating favorable conditions for them to access more development opportunities and turn their entrepreneurial ideas and aspirations into reality.

Dong Nai Women’s Startup Day 2026 features a range of activities, including an exhibition showcasing products developed by women entrepreneurs; the final round of the 2026 Dong Nai Women’s Innovative Startup Contest on digital transformation and green transition; and the signing of a cooperation agreement between the DNWU and HDBank’s Dong Nai Transaction Office branch. The event also includes a dialogue with women entrepreneurs representing innovative approaches to entrepreneurship, digital transformation and green transition.
