Speaking at the meeting, Jin Byeong Yeong said Hamyang is an important transportation hub in the southern inland region of the RoK, boasting a pristine natural environment and ranking among the country's leading localities in clean agriculture. The county is renowned for its high-quality agricultural products while also possessing rich historical and cultural heritage.
In addition to its agricultural strengths, Hamyang offers a favourable investment environment for sustainable industrial development. With these advantages, the county is steadily emerging as a promising centre for sustainable development. For her part, Nguyen Thi Hoang said Dong Nai is one of Vietnam's leading industrial centres, with 89 planned industrial parks covering more than 43,000 hectares, together with an extensive network of rivers, reservoirs and major hydropower and irrigation facilities.
The city also offers an open and favourable investment environment, supported by policies promoting decentralization and delegation of authority, as well as substantial land reserves for future development. These advantages position Dong Nai well to become a major industrial, agricultural and logistics hub for southern Vietnam and the country as a whole.

Over the past three decades, Dong Nai and Gyeongnam Province have maintained a close and steadily expanding friendship. In recent years, cooperation has been further strengthened through exchanges of high-level delegations, youth exchange programmes and civil servant exchange initiatives. A major milestone was reached in April 2026, when the DoHA and Hamyang County signed a cooperation agreement on labour and employment. The agreement reflects the mutual trust and determination of both sides to expand cooperation in human resource development.
