According to the Dong Nai Power Company, electricity savings across Dong Nai City exceeded 185 million kWh in June 2026, equivalent to more than 10% of the city's commercial electricity output for the month. This marked the second consecutive month that the city achieved electricity savings of over 10%, successfully meeting its target during the peak hot-season period.

In the first six months of 2026, the city saved a total of 650 million kWh, representing 6.2% of cumulative commercial electricity consumption through the end of June. The results reflect the effectiveness of coordinated energy-saving measures implemented across government agencies, businesses, manufacturing facilities, and households.
In June, the Dong Nai City People's Committee issued Plan No. 52/KH-UBND on strengthening electricity conservation in 2026. Under the plan, the city aims to save at least 3% of its total electricity consumption for the year, with electricity consumption during the peak hot-season months from April to July to be reduced by at least 10%.
Maintaining electricity savings of more than 10% for two consecutive months has helped ease pressure on the power system, ensure a safe and reliable electricity supply during the dry season, and contribute to the city's electricity-saving target and its goal of reducing emissions in the energy sector.
