Dong Nai launches productivity expert training course for businesses

The Dong Nai Department of Science and Technology, in collaboration with the Dong Nai Economic and Industrial Zones Authority (DEIZA), on July 29 launched the 2026 Productivity Expert Training Course, aiming to enhance workforce capabilities and improve business productivity.

Attending the opening ceremony were leaders from the Department of Science and Technology, the Dong Nai Economic and Industrial Zones Authority, alongside representatives from various enterprises across the city.

The seven-day training course combines classroom instruction with practical sessions at a model enterprise. Participants are being guided by Vu Hong Quan, a productivity expert certified under the Asian Productivity Organization (APO), in applying productivity improvement tools and implementing real-world improvement projects. The training is designed to help participants optimize production processes, shorten manufacturing and service delivery times, and improve product quality within their own companies.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Trinh Thi Hoa,  Deputy Director of the Dong Nai Department of Science and Technology, said the course is built around three key objectives. The first objective is to develop a core group of highly qualified professionals capable of obtaining certification as productivity experts under the Vietnamese National Standard TCVN 13751:2023. The course is expected to help businesses establish internal teams with the expertise and practical skills needed to lead and sustain continuous improvement initiatives.

The second objective is to integrate conventional productivity enhancement with green productivity and digital transformation. The curriculum includes in-depth modules on the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in production data analysis, smart factory development, greenhouse gas inventory management, energy management systems, environmental, social and governance (ESG) practices, and the circular economy. These capabilities are intended to help enterprises meet increasingly stringent environmental requirements in export markets.

The third objective is to cultivate a workforce capable of delivering measurable improvements for businesses.
