Representatives of major supermarkets and shopping centers in Dong Nai City reported that during the April 30–May 1 holiday, shopper numbers increased by 20–50% compared to a normal weekend.

Le Van Hong, Director of GO! Dong Nai Supermarket in Long Hung ward, said that during the four-day holiday, visitor numbers surged by around 50% compared to a typical weekend and rose approximately 20% year-on-year. On average, the supermarket welcomed between 8,000 and 9,000 visitors per day, with peak footfall recorded on April 30 and May 1.
Meanwhile, Nguyen Quoc Minh, Director of Co.opmart Dong Xoai in Binh Phuoc ward, noted that the extended holiday significantly boosted shopping demand, with consumer numbers rising by about 40% compared to a normal weekend. To accommodate the surge, the supermarket intensified promotional campaigns and rolled out large-scale discount programs.
Similarly, Nguyen Ky Hiep, Director of MM Mega Market Bien Hoa in Tran Bien ward, said that visitor numbers during the holiday increased by around 20% compared to a regular weekend and also grew 20% year-on-year. The highest concentration of visitors was recorded during the first two days of the holiday, particularly on May 1.
Trang Phuc, a representative from the Marketing Department of Co.opmart Bien Hoa in Tam Hiep ward, added that the supermarket received an average of 2,000–3,000 visitors per day during the holiday. Both customer numbers and purchasing power rose significantly compared to a typical weekend and were broadly in line with the same period last year.
