The event centered on four key issues: positioning Dong Nai within the regional tourism ecosystem; developing tourism products and experiences with strong practical potential; evaluating operational systems and tourism resources; and building a distinctive brand identity for Dong Nai tourism. Participants stressed that a tourism brand should be shaped not by promotional slogans alone, but by visitors’ real experiences.

Pham Huong Son, Chairman of the DNTA, said Dong Nai is facing a major opportunity to accelerate tourism development, while also coming under growing pressure in terms of infrastructure, service quality and the development of signature tourism products. Against this backdrop, the panel discussion is expected to serve as a platform linking businesses, experts and policymakers to share experience and propose practical solutions aimed at fostering professional, sustainable tourism growth and gradually reinforcing Dong Nai’s position on Vietnam’s tourism map.

Addressing the panel discussion, Vice Chairman Le Truong Son praised the presentations and recommendations put forward by delegates. He noted the strong level of interest shown by participants and welcomed the constructive contributions made toward the development of Dong Nai’s tourism sector. He urged the city’s tourism industry to translate those perspectives into practical proposals and concrete action. The Vice Chairman also candidly acknowledged that although Dong Nai possesses significant tourism potential and already offers tourism products across several segments, these offerings remain insufficiently connected and have yet to receive adequate support for sustainable growth.

The Vice Chairman asked the municipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to promptly begin developing tourism products while advising the City Party Standing Committee on the formulation of a tourism development resolution. In particular, he emphasized stronger coordination among departments, agencies and localities to develop tourism offerings and build a tourism ecosystem linked with Long Thanh Airport, drawing on Dong Nai’s cultural assets as well as its distinctive agricultural and culinary products.
