Dong Nai hosts training on sustainable agricultural development

On April 16, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers’ Union, in coordination with the Dong Nai Farmers’ Union, organized a training workshop on the action plan to implement Vietnam’s sustainable development goals for 2026.

Attending the program were Hoang Tung, Member of the Executive Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union, Deputy Head of the Farmers' Affairs Department; Nguyen Van Giang, Vice Chairman in charge of the Provincial Farmers' Union; and 140 trainees who are union officials, branch leaders, and outstanding farmer members in production and business from Long Khanh, Hang Gon, and Bao Vinh wards.

The training program aims to equip officials and members with skills in green agriculture, circular economy, and carbon reduction in production. This undertaking helps farmer members not only enrich their families but also contribute to environmental protection and build a sustainable agricultural foundation for the future. Specific contents include: Overview of sustainable development; solutions for sustainable development in agriculture; implementation of provincial People's Committee projects on emission reduction in agricultural production.

The program is part of the goal of sustainable development through promoting emulation movements, connecting agricultural product supply and demand, providing agricultural vocational training, and ensuring safe production. The focus is on promoting ecological agriculture, modern rural areas, and sustainable poverty reduction.

On this occasion, the delegation from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union and leaders of the Provincial Farmers' Union visited high-tech agricultural models, clean production, and agricultural product processing in Bao Vinh Ward.
