Many have emphasized that this will mark a significant turning point, one that can generate fresh momentum for socio-economic growth while improving residents’ employment prospects and raising their living standards in the coming years.
Dong Nai rises to a new height, businesses place their trust
Pham The Linh, Director of The Linh Co., Ltd. in Ho Nai IP, said his company has operated in the bedding manufacturing sector for more than 20 years. In recent days, not only the leadership but also employees have shared their optimism and expectation that Dong Nai will soon become a centrally governed city. According to him, this milestone would enhance the province’s standing while accelerating industrial and service sector development in a more modern and sustainable direction.
He added that with this upgraded status, Dong Nai is likely to benefit from more special mechanisms and policies, helping improve the investment climate, streamline administrative procedures and attract stronger capital inflows from both domestic and international sources. This, in turn, would enable businesses to expand production, enhance competitiveness and integrate more deeply into global supply chains.
Dong Nai has long been one of the fastest-industrializing localities, playing a key role in the Southern key economic region. With a well-developed network of IPs, increasingly synchronized transport infrastructure and a strategic location that offers convenient connectivity with Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces, the province is widely seen as well-positioned for a breakthrough once it attains centrally governed city status.
At 1Car Garage Co., Ltd. in Trang Dai ward, the first quarter of 2026 already saw encouraging business results. Tran Van Giap, the company’s Director, noted that Dong Nai’s move toward becoming a centrally governed city opens up a major opportunity not only for the locality but also for the business community. “This is both an opportunity and a responsibility for enterprises in a new development phase. As a young enterprise, we are committed to proactively adapting, seizing opportunities and continuously innovating to enhance competitiveness. We aim to take the lead in applying technology and building a stronger company in step with Dong Nai’s transformation,” he said.
Businesses also expect Dong Nai to emerge as a new growth pole, with strong development in high-tech industry, green and circular economy models, and a higher urbanization rate. Furthermore, the province is anticipated to reinforce its role as a new international transit gateway, while continuing to improve its investment and business environment and attract high-quality FDI inflows, thereby contributing to overall socio-economic development.
Fu Yang Yi, a representative of Far Eastern New Apparel (Viet Nam) Limited, observed that Dong Nai, where the company chose to invest, has experienced robust growth over the past decade. Favorable production conditions have drawn skilled talent, supporting the sectors in which the company is operating. Looking ahead, he believes the province’s elevation to a centrally governed city will create new opportunities, facilitate business expansion and encourage further investment from the enterprise community.
Workers place high expectations
Beyond businesses, a large number of workers across the province are also placing high hopes on the changes ahead. As urban development becomes more synchronized and modern, demand for housing, services, healthcare, education and social infrastructure is expected to rise significantly. These are crucial factors that help improve overall quality of life.

Many workers believe that once Dong Nai becomes a centrally governed city, they will have access to more stable job opportunities, improved income and increasingly modern urban amenities. Le Thao Nhi, a worker at Jason Furniture Viet Nam Co., Ltd. in Dong Xoai III IP, Binh Phuoc ward, shared: “I truly expect positive changes in the near future. If infrastructure is developed in a systematic way and living conditions improve, not only will jobs become more stable, but workers’ lives will also improve significantly.”
Reflecting on the past 35 years, we have deep appreciation for the province’s continuously improving investment environment and strong support for businesses. The transition to a centrally governed city is expected to provide a powerful boost, enabling Dong Nai to fully unlock its potential and accelerate development in the next phase. Our company also plans to leverage this opportunity to attract and retain high-quality Vietnamese technical experts and managers by offering more competitive benefits and a modern working environment, aiming for shared prosperity with the future city of Dong Nai.

Meanwhile, Tran Thi Ha, a worker in Bien Hoa 2 IP, noted that for workers, stable employment, sufficient income and a safe, civilized living environment remain top priorities. She added that as the province advances to a new height, workers believe job opportunities will expand, living conditions will improve, and social housing as well as cultural institutions will be further developed, enabling them to settle and build stable livelihoods.
With its existing potentials, along with strong determination from local authorities and the support of business community and workers, Dong Nai is well-positioned to achieve its goals in the near future, emerging as a dynamic and modern urban center that makes significant contributions to the country’s overall development.
