Groundbreaking ceremony for first tap water supply project for residents of An Vien commune

In coordination with the People’s Committee of An Vien commune, Dong Nai province, on March 20, Dong Nai Water Joint Stock Company (DOWACO) held a groundbreaking ceremony for a clean water supply project serving local residents. The project will provide clean water from a centralized surface water supply system (tap water) to households across the commune.

The An Vien Water Supply System Project has a total investment of more than 14.5 billion VND. The project’s main component involves installing nearly 20 kilometers of HDPE pipelines (ranging from D63 to D225) along routes such as DT.777, areas along the railway, Doi B, Vuon Ngo, and numerous alleyways. The project is also equipped with technical facilities to ensure safe and stable operation, including air release valves, sediment discharge valves, fire hydrants, and flow meters. According to the plan, the project is expected to be completed by mid-August 2026.

According to DOWACO, the project aims to enhance water supply capacity and establish a looped network, ensuring a safe and stable water supply for An Vien commune to meet residents’ domestic, service, and production needs. At the same time, the project is expected to contribute to improving local infrastructure, gradually enhancing the quality of life, promoting sustainable socio-economic development, improving public health and the residential environment, and raising awareness of environmental sanitation.

During implementation, the project owner will work closely with relevant parties and step up construction supervision to ensure progress and quality, with a view to bringing the project into operation as soon as possible to serve local residents.
