Dong Nai approves adjustments to compensation, support and resettlement sub-project for Component Project 2 of Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway

The People's Committee of Dong Nai province has issued Decision No. 970/QĐ-UBND (dated March 20, 2026) approving adjustments to the compensation, support and resettlement sub-project for Component Project 2 of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway Project.

According to the decision, Dong Nai changed the sub-project investor from the former Long Thanh District People's Committee to the Regional Project Management Board 5. At the same time, the project’s implementation scale was adjusted to increase the project's land acquisition area from over 151 hectares to over 192 hectares. Among them, over 186 hectares of the acquired land area are for the expressway construction, and over 5.7 hectares are allocated for the 110 kV, 220 kV, and 550 kV power grid tower foundations.

The province also adjusts the total investment for the compensation, support, and resettlement sub-project of Component Project 2 of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway from nearly 2.2 trillion VND to over 2.3 trillion VND. Additionally, the project implementation period has been extended to December 31, 2026.

Component Project 2 of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway, spanning over 18 km and passing through Dong Nai province, is managed by Project Management Board 85 under the Ministry of Construction. The project has a total adjusted investment of over 7.6 trillion VND after adjustments with construction underway on June 30, 2023. Currently, the project’s construction components are being completed to put the main route into operation before March 31, 2026.
