On March 12, Deputy Secretary of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee (PPC) and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Ut received and worked with Rajpal Singh, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Singapore to Vietnam.
Also attending the meeting were Pang Te Cheng, Consul General of Singapore in Ho Chi Minh City, along with leaders of several provincial departments and agencies.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Ut briefed the ambassador on the province’s development potential and advantages. He noted that Dong Nai currently hosts 58 industrial parks licensed for establishment, of which 43 are operational with a total area of more than 14,700 hectares. Dong Nai also boasts a modern transport and logistics infrastructure system as well as open and stable investment attraction policies. In recent years, the province has consistently welcomed and created favorable conditions for foreign investors, enterprises and organizations to cooperate, do business, study and live in the locality.

Regarding international cooperation, since 1995 Dong Nai has focused on expanding cooperative ties with foreign partners, localities and territories around the world. To date, the province has signed 95 memoranda of understanding (MoUs) and cooperation agreements at the provincial level with partners from 17 countries and territories worldwide, of which 34 MoUs remain valid.

In terms of foreign investment attraction, Dong Nai is currently home to investors from 51 countries and territories with a total of 2,246 projects and registered capital exceeding 43.4 billion USD. Singapore is among the province’s key investment partners with 158 projects and total registered capital of more than 4.6 billion USD, operating effectively in areas such as industrial production, food processing, logistics and supporting industries. Provincial leaders acknowledged the significant and practical contributions made by the Singaporean business community to Dong Nai’s socio-economic development in recent years.

On the occasion of Rajpal Singh’s appointment as Singapore’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Vietnam, Chairman of Dong Nai provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Ut extended his best wishes to ambassador Rajpal Singh for a successful tenure in Vietnam. He also expressed his hope that the ambassador would continue contributing to further strengthening the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Singapore in general, as well as between Dong Nai province and Singaporean partners in particular.
