Dong Nai enters new development phase

The Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress is creating strong momentum, inspiring determination to realize Dong Nai’s aspiration to rise in a new era. The province has identified that its efforts will go beyond studying the resolution; with guidelines translated into concrete actions, delivering tangible and measurable outcomes from the very first days and months of 2026.

Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Standing Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai People’s Committee Nguyen Kim Long emphasized: “Building on the results and leadership experience of 2025, the province is strongly shifting its mindset, turning resolutions into action, with the determination to produce concrete outcomes right from the beginning of 2026.”

Momentum from connected infrastructure

The clearest evidence of this determination is the province’s launch of a series of strategic transport projects directly connecting Dong Nai with Ho Chi Minh City, such as the Long Hung Bridge and Cat Lai Bridge, right at the start of the year. These are strategic steps aimed at removing administrative boundary thinking and proactively integrating into the development flow of the country’s largest megacity. Once completed, these bridges will become new growth drivers, opening up trade opportunities for residents and the business community.

The picture of Dong Nai’s transport infrastructure in early 2026 continues to show many positive signals, with a series of key projects being technically opened to traffic. Notable examples include the Dong Nai Riverside Road project, the Bien Hoa city central axis road linked to Thong Nhat Bridge, Ring Road 1 of Long Khanh city, and the groundbreaking of the Cai River Riverside Road. In particular, the early opening to traffic of the first 18 kilometers of the Bien Hoa–Vung Tau Expressway ahead of the Lunar New Year of the Horse, along with the target of completing the entire route in early 2026, has met public expectations and created synchronized connectivity for the whole region.

Secretary of the Long Thanh commune Party Committee Nguyen Huu Nguyen said: “After the first official flights to Long Thanh International Airport on December 19, 2025, local residents have been very excited. We strongly expect that, with the current pace of construction and completion, airport infrastructure and connecting facilities will soon be finished, creating a new springboard for the province and bringing change to Long Thanh commune.”

According to experts from the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, high-quality infrastructure projects that are being rapidly completed have given Dong Nai a new position with very strong competitiveness in attracting investment. The direct beneficiaries of these significant added values are none other than local residents and businesses. Beyond that, the spillover effects of Dong Nai’s infrastructure projects also impact other provinces and cities in the Southeast region, serving as a driver for double-digit growth nationwide.

Turning action into results

The implementation of the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress in Dong Nai is being carried out under the principle of “doing thoroughly step by step,” using concrete outcomes as the benchmark for evaluating officials. The Provincial Party Committee requires all levels of Party organizations to translate the resolution into daily and weekly tasks. Any difficulties arising at construction sites or in administrative procedures must be reported and handled immediately, with no backlog allowed.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Ho Van Ha said the province will act more decisively to remove bottlenecks in order to deliver concrete outcomes in line with the spirit of “words must be matched by deeds.” Dong Nai is focusing on synchronizing planning, accelerating site clearance, preparing sound investment dossiers, selecting capable contractors, and closely supervising project progress.

Comrade Ho Van Ha also shared that when leaders of Party committees and authorities directly engage in dialogue and listen to the people, obstacles can always be resolved. The entire political system, from the provincial level down to neighborhoods, must be involved, both persuading and mobilizing, ensuring legitimate rights and interests of the people, while firmly handling cases of deliberate delay. This is the fundamental solution to removing land clearance bottlenecks for key projects.

Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Director of the Department of Finance Truong Thi Huong Binh noted that in 2025, Dong Nai achieved a record state budget revenue of VND 103 trillion for the first time, far exceeding the target assigned by the central government. For 2026, the central government has assigned Dong Nai a revenue target of 104 trillion VND. With experience from the previous year, Dong Nai is determined to strive for revenue growth of around 10 percent in 2026.

Recently, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Vu Hong Van directly worked with grassroots Party cell secretaries and neighborhood heads in several wards to grasp the situation and direct the removal of difficulties at the grassroots level. This move affirms that to create effective change, the spirit of action must not stop at the provincial or communal levels but must spread deeply to every neighborhood and hamlet. Such close engagement aims to completely eliminate bureaucracy and detachment from the people, ensuring that the public administration apparatus operates smoothly and serves residents and businesses in the best possible manner.
