Tran Dinh Thao, Construction manager of the contractor Construction Corporation No. 1 - CTCP, said: With the goal of completing the project by the end of March and inaugurating and putting it into operation on the Reunification Day (April 30) holiday, the unit has proactively arranged personnel and vehicles to work throughout Tet.

Accordingly, the contractor mobilized 40 workers and 16 pieces of equipment to work, equivalent to about one-third of the normal workforce. According to the plan, on February 24 (the 8th day of Tet), 100% of workers will return to the construction site. At that time, the contractor will take advantage of the favorable dry season weather, organize construction in "3 shifts, 4 crews", determined not to allow any further delays.
Duong Van Tuan, a native of Ca Mau province, shared that because the project is in the final sprint, he and some colleagues stayed to work. On New Year's Eve, the company organized a party for everyone, which was heartwarming. After Tet, he will try to go home to visit his family.

Also celebrating Tet at the construction site for the first time, Tieu Tan Luc, a native of Can Tho city, shared that despite being away from home, the atmosphere at the construction site was still very warm. In the days leading up to Tet, the workers were visited by provincial leaders who gave them gifts and lucky money for the new year. In addition, the company also organized a year-end meal with chung cakes (Vietnamese square sticky rice cakes), tet cakes (Vietnamese cylindrical sticky rice cakes), and many traditional dishes. For him, this was an unforgettable experience and also a source of pride for those directly contributing to the province's key project.
"I only hope the project will be completed on schedule to serve the people’s travel needs. That is also the most meaningful gift for all of us in the new year," Tieu Tan Luc expressed.

A representative of the contractor added that the unit regularly visits and encourages the workforce working throughout Tet. At the same time, they strengthen supervision and urge to speed up progress and require teams and groups to offer full salary and bonus regimes for workers; ensure labor safety; and have activities to care for the spiritual well-being of workers during Tet.
