According to the Dong Nai Statistics Office, as of December 2025, the total foreign direct investment (FDI) in the province reached 3.279 billion USD. This number included 189 newly licensed projects with a total registered capital of 1.708 billion USD, and 189 projects that increased their capital with an additional 1.571 billion USD. Domestic investment attraction totaled nearly 173 trillion VND, comprising 106 newly licensed projects, 46 projects with capital increases, and eight projects with capital reductions.

Regarding enterprise development, by December 2025, total registered capital from newly established enterprises and capital increases exceeded 137.9 trillion VND. Specifically, 7,784 enterprises were newly established, representing a 37.9 percent year-over-year increase, with a total registered capital of over 62 trillion VND, a 15.4 percent decrease from the previous year. Meanwhile, 1,619 enterprises registered capital increases, adding approximately 75.949 trillion VND.

From the beginning of 2025 to December 15, 2025, the province recorded 1,576 enterprises dissolved, a year-on-year increase of 96.7 percent. Additionally, 1,202 branches, business locations, and representative offices ceased operations, representing a 17 percent increase, while 3,038 enterprises temporarily suspended operations, a 18 percent increase compared to the same period last year. The main reasons were that some enterprises operated inefficiently, faced challenges in consumption markets, experienced rising input material costs, and had limited capacity to balance financial resources for production and business activities. Moreover, increasing competitive pressure forced some enterprises to scale down production, adjust labor and working hours, leading to temporary suspension or dissolution. Those most affected were small and medium-sized enterprises in the private economic sector.

Results from the business tendency survey of manufacturing and processing enterprises in the fourth quarter of 2025 indicated continued positive developments in production and business activities. Approximately 44.62 percent of enterprises reported improved performance compared to the previous quarter, 35.38 percent assessed the situation as stable, and 20 percent stated that they were still facing difficulties. In the first quarter of 2026, business prospects are expected to be more favorable, with 52.31% of enterprises forecasting improvement over the previous quarter, 33.85% predicting stability, and 13.85% anticipating greater challenges.
