To sustain industrial growth momentum, the business community expects stronger state support in trade promotion, market expansion and export growth to create new drivers for manufacturing sectors.
Positive growth momentum
According to data from the General Statistics Office under the Ministry of Finance, 2025 marked a notable breakthrough for Vietnam’s industrial sector, with the Index of Industrial Production (IIP) estimated to rise by 9.2 percent year on year, the highest level since 2019.
In Dong Nai province, the IIP in 2025 increased by 15.22% compared with 2024. According to Cao Dang Vien, Head of the Dong Nai Statistics Office, the industrial sector continues to be a bright spot and a core pillar of the local economy, serving as the main driver of overall economic growth. This reflects the determination and resilience of enterprises and business households, along with the proactive and responsible support of authorities at all levels in helping economic actors overcome difficulties and stabilize development.
Within Dong Nai’s GRDP growth of 9.63%, the industry–construction sector played the largest role. Specifically, industry and construction rose by 11.52%, contributing 6.06 percentage points to total gross value added growth. Industry alone grew by 10.42%, contributing 4.95 percentage points.
Several key industrial sectors posted solid growth, including manufacturing and processing, up 10.19%, and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, up 14.41%. Notably, the official operation of Nhon Trach 3 and 4 Power Plants from the third quarter of 2025 added capacity to the national power system, creating new momentum for industrial production. Water supply, waste management and wastewater treatment increased by 6.21%. These results indicate a continued recovery in production and business activities among industrial enterprises in the province, with many firms securing new orders, expanding product consumption and gradually reaching international markets.
Alongside local authorities, the provincial business community is actively working to realize growth targets from the beginning of the year. Enterprises show strong determination to fulfill planned objectives while enhancing adaptability and long-term vision amid increasingly unpredictable market fluctuations.
Seizing opportunities for development
In 2025, industrial production rebounded thanks to efforts by the Government, ministries, sectors and localities to remove obstacles, support enterprises to overcome difficulties and promote production model transformation, despite challenges such as global supply chain disruptions and natural disasters. Entering 2026, the global situation remains complex with many uncertainties, but drawing on practical experience, the business community remains optimistic about continued success.
The first quarter is a decisive period for enterprises to maintain uninterrupted production chains and seize new market opportunities. Early deployment of orders helps sustain production momentum and lays the foundation for the entire year.

Pham The Linh, Director of The Linh Company Limited in Ho Nai Industrial Park, shares that the company is currently ramping up production to meet customer demand for bedding products such as blankets, sheets, pillows and mattresses. Building on last year’s efforts, the company sets an ambitious target of 30 percent revenue growth in 2026 while establishing more distribution agents nationwide.
Similarly, Nguyen Huu That, Director of Diep Nam Phuong Production and Trading Company Limited in Loc An – Binh Son Industrial Park, notes that Vietnamese enterprises, particularly in mechanical engineering, manufacturing and supporting industries, have many opportunities to expand production at this stage. The company continues to invest in new machinery and technologies to diversify mechanical products for customers. With major infrastructure projects in the province being accelerated and new industrial parks coming into operation, he believes local enterprises can proactively seek cooperation opportunities and participate more deeply in product and service supply chains.
Beyond production efforts, the business community calls for greater effectiveness in trade promotion and business connectivity activities. These initiatives should be renewed in a more focused and substantive manner, with priority markets and key sectors clearly identified. Direct connection programs with importers and major distribution systems are needed to help enterprises access stable and long-term orders.
