Also attending the conference were members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee Nguyen Kim Long, Standing Vice Chairman of Dong Nai People’s Committee; Le Truong Son, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; Ha Anh Dung, Standing Vice Chairman of Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee of Dong Nai province; Truong Thi Huong Binh, Director of the Department of Finance; Nguyen Tuan Anh, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment; and members of the PPC including Ho Van Ha, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; Nguyen Thi Hoang, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Committee; and Tran Van Mi, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council.

In his opening remarks, Deputy Secretary of the PPC and Chairman of the Dong Nai People’s Committee Nguyen Van Ut said that in 2025, under the leadership of the PPC, with the support and companionship of the Provincial People’s Council, the supervision and social criticism of the VFF at all levels, and especially the efforts of people and businesses, the Provincial People’s Committee successfully led and administered socio-economic development as well as national defense and security, achieving many notable results.

Specifically, the province completed the reorganization of the two-tier local government apparatus and the provincial merger, which officially came into operation on July 1, 2025; after six months of operation, the new local government model has initially stabilized, operated smoothly, and received public consensus and positive assessments. The first Dong Nai Provincial Party Congress for the 2025–2030 term was successfully held. Socio-economic development was fairly comprehensive, with 28 out of 30 targets met or exceeded; among them, many indicators recorded high and impressive results, including economic growth, state budget revenue, export turnover, investment attraction, and social housing development.

Alongside these achievements, there remain a number of shortcomings and limitations. Therefore, today’s conference focuses on discussing these constraints, especially those stemming from subjective causes, in order to propose practical and effective solutions to ensure the successful implementation of tasks in 2026, with the central goal of achieving sustainable double-digit economic growth.

Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee called on delegates to speak frankly, discuss solutions and lessons learned in removing bottlenecks and shortcomings to better leverage advantages, especially in the context that Long Thanh Airport is expected to enter commercial operation from June 2026; and to propose effective models and good practices to create breakthroughs and improve the effectiveness of task implementation in 2026.
