Construction output for Long Thanh Airport fuel supply package exceeds plan

According to the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV), the investor of Component Project 3, Long Thanh International Airport Project Phase 1, as of the end of 2025, the construction output of package 4.0, the fuel supply system, is exceeding the plan.

Specifically, as of the aforementioned time, the construction output of package 4.9 reached 82% of the signed contract, 2.8% faster than planned. According to the assessment, this package can ensure the completion schedule for service in June 2026.

Package 4.9 includes main items such as: a 31km fuel pipeline with different diameters; 6 fuel tanks with a total capacity of 36,000 m3; 176 refueling nozzles; 14 refueling valve pits; a fire fighting tank with a capacity of 1,500 m3 and 13 auxiliary buildings. With a total investment of more than 2.8 trillion VND, the Package 4.9 was launched in October 2024, and is scheduled for contractual completion in June 2026.

Meanwhile, for the Aircraft Fuel Pipeline System Project from the source port to Long Thanh Airport, implemented by the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee, in October 2025, the authorities completed the selection of an investor in a special case to implement the project. This project has a total investment of more than 1.9 trillion VND.

The project includes: constructing 2 parallel steel pipelines to ensure redundancy in operation, buried approximately 2m below the ground, with each pipe 0.5m apart. The pipe diameter is expected to be 16 inches, with each pipeline approximately 23.2km long. This pipeline connects from Go Dau Industrial Park to the fuel storage facility within Long Thanh Airport and is expected to be completed and put into use in 2026.

The project uses an area of nearly 24 hectares in the communes of Phuoc Thai, Long Phuoc, Long Thanh, in Dong Nai province. The project has a sustainable, long-term construction scale, ensuring large transport capacity and safety to supply fuel to Long Thanh Airport in both phases.
