On December 14, the National Agency for Technology Entrepreneurship and Commercialization Development (Ministry of Science and Technology) organized a workshop on innovative startups in the green and sustainable economy. This activity was part of the series of events at Techfest Viet Nam 2025 in Hanoi.

The workshop aimed to raise awareness of the role of innovation and startups in promoting a green economy, sustainable development, and environmental, social and governance (ESG) practices; while also providing a platform to share knowledge and experiences from experts, the technology community, and exemplary startup enterprises in areas such as product traceability, product transparency, digital technology adoption, and access to green finance.
The workshop also presented key policy recommendations and specific solutions to support innovative startups, particularly in accessing green credit, sustainable development policies, and updates related to Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW.
At the workshop, experts and speakers presented papers on topics including product traceability supported by Blockchain technology, highlighting the importance of transparency and digital transformation for innovative startups on the path toward sustainable development; circular business models in green startups; and what Vietnamese innovative startups need to do to access green finance and relevant support policies for sustainable growth.
In addition, the workshop featured a panel discussion on ESG and policy support from green finance for textile and garment enterprises in their sustainable development roadmap leading up to 2030.
Notably, on this occasion, a memorandum of understanding (MOU) was signed between several units and the National Startup Support Center (NSSC). Accordingly, the Dong Nai Department of Science and Technology signed a cooperation agreement with the National Startup Support Center (NSSC) and the Institute of Innovation and Digital Transformation (University of Finance - Marketing) to support the development of the local startup and innovation ecosystem.

According to the Dong Nai Department of Science and Technology, the objective of this cooperation agreement is to promote the implementation of Resolution 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in the development of science, technology, innovation and digital transformation in the province; building a three-party cooperation model comprising local authorities - institutes/universities - organizations supporting the development of the national startup ecosystem, creating a long-term foundation for local innovation…
The three parties agreed to cooperate in the following areas: strategic consulting, policy and digital transformation; support for incubation and startup acceleration; application and transfer of technology and practical models; training, capacity building, and human resource development; scientific research cooperation and technology development; and organization of events, communications, and community development.
