The Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh section of the North-South Expressway Project is over 100km long, with a total revoked land area of over 940ha. By the end of September 2025, the Chon Thanh branch of the Dong Nai Provincial Land Fund Development Center had transferred 371 out of 594 land parcels, covering over 100 hectares, to communes and wards, with the remaining dossiers to be submitted by October 30.

The Dong Xoai branch of the Dong Nai Provincial Land Fund Development Center has transferred 268 out of 956 land parcels, with the remaining dossiers expected to be completed by October 15. The Dong Phu branch has transferred 298 out of 1,078 dossiers, with the rest scheduled for completion by October 12. The Bu Dang branch has verified the origins of 457 out of 1,388 land parcels, with the remainder to be finalized by October 15.

By October 30, relevant parties are expected to continue transferring dossiers to commune and ward People's Committees for verification of the origin of reclaimed land, assets attached to the reclaimed land, and other related matters. The Provincial Land Fund Development Center also stated that it will focus on mobilizing for early land handover, aiming to reach 60 percent or more by October 30.

Speaking at the working session, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Ha stated that the North–South Expressway (Western route), Gia Nghia–Chon Thanh section, once completed, will drive socio-economic development in the northern region of Dong Nai province. Therefore, the province considers compensation and site clearance to be a pivotal task in accelerating the project's completion.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Ha emphasized that a “Quang Trung – 90-day and night campaign” will be launched to complete site clearance for the Gia Nghia – Chon Thanh section of the western North-South Expressway. In particular, during October 2025, relevant parties must finalize the verification of land origin, land price frameworks, and other related matters. Leaders of the 10 affected communes and wards are required to take proactive action, including working weekends and even organizing evening outreach teams to mobilize residents for early land handover.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that the localities of Bu Dang, Phuoc Son, Tho Son, Nghia Trung, Dong Tam, Tan Loi, Binh Phuoc, Dong Xoai, Nha Bich, and Chon Thanh assign responsible and specialized personnel to mobilize and explain to the people to ensure understanding and consensus in the land handover process. The Department of Industry and Trade must coordinate with the Provincial Investment and Construction Project Management Board to relocate electricity and water infrastructure, among other utilities. Once the land is cleared, the relocation of infrastructure must be completed as soon as possible.
