On September 3, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai People's Committee Nguyen Kim Long chaired a working session with leaders of departments, agencies, together with the Dong Nai Industrial and Economic Zones Authority (DIEZA), to review the implementation of tasks over the first eight months of 2025 and to discuss upcoming solutions.

In the first eight months of 2025, the province's industrial parks and economic zones attracted more than US$1.8 billion of foreign direct investment (over 99% of the annual plan) and more than VND 44.3 trillion of domestic investment (187.7% of the annual target). Newly licensed projects were mainly in semiconductor manufacturing, mechanical engineering, industrial gas production, food processing, paper products, and other advanced materials. The investment climate continued to improve, with several major projects on industrial park infrastructure underway and others already approved for investment.
At the session, the DIEZA provided an update on its organizational structure following recent restructuring and outlined difficulties encountered in task implementation. These included challenges in planning and construction management, environmental and labor oversight, administrative reform, and efforts to encourage and promote innovation among enterprises. DIEZA also emphasized the need for investment in and upgrades to facilities to support its professional operations better.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Kim Long acknowledged the efforts of officials and staff of the DIEZA in performing their assigned duties. He stressed that the province's positive investment attraction results will remain a driving force for economic growth in the coming period. Accordingly, provincial leaders requested DIEZA to focus on fulfilling its functions and responsibilities with the goal of further improving the investment and business environment, while actively supporting and accompanying enterprises.
For outstanding issues following the recent restructuring, as well as new difficulties that may arise, relevant departments and agencies, based on their respective mandates, should coordinate with DIEZA to resolve them and propose solutions to the Provincial People's Committee. For specific matters, the province will organize thematic working sessions to enable DIEZA and related departments to provide input and recommendations as a basis for implementation.
