(ĐN)- Dong Nai will continue to build and develop itself into a major trade and servie hub in Southern region in the coming time. With strategic assets like Long Thanh International Airport and Phuoc An Port, Dong Nai is enhancing its role in international trade, logistics, e-commerce, and passenger transport. Phuoc An Port, covering nearly 800 hectares with a total investment of nearly VND20 trillion, is being developed as a sustainable green port connected to global maritime routes.

The province is planning a free trade zone covering 8,200 hectares, featuring four core functional areas: high-tech manufacturing, logistics, finance and commerce, and innovation. Investment in urban infrastructure, border trade zones, industrial parks, and digital platforms is also being prioritized, alongside efforts to develop a highly skilled workforce.
Expanding retail and consumer markets
Dong Nai now hosts 9 commercial centers, 19 supermarkets, and thousands of convenience stores and traditional markets, meeting consumer demand in remote areas. Major retail chains like Co.opmart, Winmart, Bach Hoa Xanh, GS25, and FamilyMart are expanding their footprint across the province.
In parallel, e-commerce continues to flourish. Dong Nai has ranked in Vietnam’s top 10 E-Business Index (EBI) provinces for nine consecutive years. The province is actively linking with OCOP (One Commune One Product) suppliers to promote local goods via modern retail channels.
Sustainable trade and consumption chains
The province aims to develop sustainable production-consumption chains, focusing on high-tech agriculture and regional connectivity. Digital transformation and retail technology are being promoted to meet evolving market demands.
The recent merger with Binh Phuoc opens new market opportunities and customer bases for businesses, while also streamlining governance and logistics across the unified province.
With a strong emphasis on modernization, integration, and innovation, Dong Nai is accelerating its transformation into a major hub for comprehensive trade and services in Vietnam’s southern economic region.
