(ĐN)- In the first five months of 2025, Dong Nai exported over US$1.55 billion worth of coffee, wood products, and pepper, posting a trade surplus of nearly US$1.5 billion, according to the provincial Statistics Office.
Particularly, coffee exports reached nearly US$808 million (up 73%), wood products US$713 million (up 24%), and pepper exports grew 1.5 times year-on-year. These products are sold to over 70 countries and are recognized for quality.
While wood products are mostly exported directly, coffee and pepper are mainly sold raw through intermediaries, limiting their added value. Experts suggest that branding and deeper processing could boost export value by 2–4 times.
