Dong Nai’s first waste-to-energy plant expected to break ground on National Day

(ĐN)- Dong Nai plans to break ground its first waste-to-energy plant in Vinh Cuu district’s Vinh Tan commune on September 2, National Day.

The VND2.3 trillion PPP project will process 1,200 tons of waste daily and generate 30MW of electricity. Key planning documents and utility agreements are in place, but delays remain in environmental assessment and technology alignment due to updated regulations.

Deputy Chairman Dương Minh Dung of the provincial People’s Committee urged urgent coordination with central agencies and mandated completion of environmental approvals by July 15. He called on departments to support the investor, finalize technical plans, and prepare for bidding to ensure groundbreaking aligns with key provincial milestones.
