Currently, Dong Nai is one of the four provinces and cities with the largest GRDP in the country, exceeding 18 billion USD. In the process of socio-economic development in Dong Nai, enterprises play a very important role. As of early 2025, the province has over 56,000 registered enterprises in the National Business Registration Information System, with a total registered capital of nearly 510 trillion VND.

Although Dong Nai has a large number of enterprises, most are still small, micro, and medium-sized. Their operations face many difficulties due to a lack of capital and land for investing in modern factories and production lines. Therefore, domestic enterprises are limited in participating in global production supply chains. As a result, many businesses urgently need to link together to support each other in production development and expand consumption markets both domestically and internationally. Linked small and medium-sized enterprises can create effective symbiotic relationships for sustainable development. At the same time, they can help each other grow stronger and participate in the global supply chain.

Dong Nai is an industrial province, with over 4,500 new enterprises established each year, with an average capital of 8-10 billion VND per enterprise. With this capital, if enterprises do not cooperate, it will be very difficult to maintain and develop stably. Especially as Vietnam has deeply integrated with many countries and numerous multinational corporations have invested in our country. Currently, the bilateral and multilateral free trade agreements that Vietnam has signed account for two-thirds of global GDP.

According to economic experts, Vietnamese enterprises' linkage and symbiosis is one of the solutions for effective operation, capable of competing in both domestic and foreign markets.

In Dong Nai, the Dong Nai Business Association and the Dong Nai Young Entrepreneurs Association have also implemented solutions to support member enterprises in linking together for mutual development. Among them, many enterprises from different sectors can coexist and supply each other with input products to reduce production costs and enhance competitiveness.

However, according to some enterprises in the province, the linkage between enterprises has not been tight, and the effectiveness is not high, so it is necessary for the Dong Nai Business Association, the Dong Nai Young Entrepreneurs Association, and various departments and sectors to continue providing support for connection through local trade promotion programs, fairs, exhibitions, etc.

The linkage should not only involve domestic enterprises but also include foreign enterprises in Dong Nai and other provinces and cities across the country. This can help enterprises expand their domestic market, increase the localization rate for exported products, and easily benefit from tariff preferences with countries that Vietnam has signed free trade agreements with.
