Provincial leaders recognize that the rapid development of the logistics sector in Đồng Nai will meet the growing demand for goods transportation, particularly in last-mile delivery, retail distribution, and e-commerce. Once Long Thanh International Airport becomes operational, Dong Nai is expected to emerge as a major economic hub, attracting more investors from both domestic and international markets. With five modes of transportation- road, air, rail, inland waterways, and international maritime- Dong Nai has the potential to become the leading logistics center of the Southeast region.
According to the provincial master plan for 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, Dong Nai aims to become a major hub for transportation and logistics, as well as a center for economic, cultural, educational, and technological development. By 2030, the province plans to establish four large logistics centers covering a total area of 950 hectares. These include the Southern Long Thanh Airport Logistics Center (100 hectares) in Long Thanh district, the Northeastern Long Thanh Airport Logistics Center (100 hectares) in Cam My district, the Eastern Region Transshipment Warehouse (650 hectares) in Trang Bom district, and the Phuoc An Logistics Center (100 hectares) in Nhon Trach district. Additionally, smaller logistics hubs will be developed near industrial zones and clusters in districts such as Vinh Cuu, Tan Phu, Dinh Quan, and Xuan Loc.
Chairman Vo Tan Duc of the Dong Nai People's Committee stated that the large-scale investments in the province align with its industrial development strategy. Particularly, high-capital logistics projects will significantly support the province's industrial and service sectors. To continue attracting more FDI and domestic investments, Dong Nai will accelerate land clearance to expand and establish new industrial parks, while also improving the investment environment to facilitate business growth in planned economic sectors.
