Dong Nai attracts investment in crop and livestock breeding

(ĐN)- According to Dong Nai Department of Agriculture and Environment, the province is attracting investors in seed production for both crop cultivation and livestock breeding. On average, the province supplies nearly 11,000 tons of seeds, 236 million seedlings, 40 million poultry breeds, and 72 million aquatic breeds to the market annually. These products not only serve local agricultural production but are also distributed nationwide and exported abroad.

This advantage positions Dong Nai’s agriculture sector for further growth in both livestock and crop breeding. Currently, 100% of newly planted and re-cultivated areas in the province utilize high-quality, modern seed varieties, while 95% of livestock and poultry herds benefit from advanced breeding techniques. Seed and breed quality are considered key factors in determining productivity and product quality in agriculture. Investment in research and production of high-yield, high-quality plant and animal breeds plays a crucial role in enhancing economic efficiency in agricultural production.
