Imports of chemicals increased sharply

(ĐN) - Dong Nai imported US$525 million worth of chemicals in the first three months of this year, increased by 30.8 percent over the same period last year, showed the statistics figures of the Department of Industry and Trade.

In March only, the province spent US$205 million on imports of chemicals, up by 34.5 percent over the previous month.

Taiwan was the province’s biggest chemical import market in the first three months of this year with the import value of US$163 million.

It was followed by China – US$93 million, Thailand – US$65 million, Japan – US$52 million, South Korea – US$49 million.
