In Jan-March, the province earned some US$5.1 billion from exports, up 11 percent from the same period last year.
Commodities with high export revenue included footwear, textile and garment, wooden products, machinery, tools and spare parts, computers, etc.
The foreign investment sector is the biggest contributor to the province’s export turnover in the reviewed period. Its export value hit over US$4 billion, up 9 percent year-on-year. Meanwhile, the non-State and State-owned sectors reported an increase of 19 percent and 5 percent in export, hitting US$939 million and US$118.5 million, respectively.
