(ĐN)- According to gas trading firms in Dong Nai province, the price of cooking gas has been increased by VND5,000 per 12kg tank from March 1.
This is the third consecutive price increase in 2021, with a total hike of VND50,500 per 12-kilogram cylinder.
The retail price of a 12kg cooking gas cylinder now ranges between VND400,500 and VND420,000.The price hike was attributed to a rise in the global gas price, which is $610 per tonne now, a surge of $15 per tonne from the previous month.
Currently, 60 percent of the total gas consumption in the country has to be imported, making local gas prices be adjusted following global gas prices.
