This amount is a 7% year-on-year increase and accounts for 8.6% of the province’s total export turnover.
In September only, the export value of wood and wooden products was some US$172 million, a 6.8% month-on-month rise.
The United States, the Republic of Korea, Japan, the UK and Australia remained key importers of local forestry products in the nine-month period, with a total value of nearly US$1.05 billion, or 95% of the province’s forestry export value.
