Of the total cattle herd, the pig herd is accounted of over 2.1 million heads.The province is now home to 627 pig farms which are safety from epidemic diseases.
Dong Nai is currently leading the country in breeding pigs under industrial model as the average rate of breeding pigs under farming model is only at about 70 percent.
